In the 20th century, leaders such as Gopinath Bordoloi, Tarun Ram Phukan, and Nabin Chandra Bardoloi mobilized the masses, supporting movements like Non-Cooperation and Civil Disobedience. Assam’s youth and women actively joined protests, strikes, and rallies.
