He started his early schooling at local mission schools before attending Clarkebury and Healdtown. There, he learned about discipline and academic excellence. Mandela later enrolled at the University of Fort Hare, one of the few colleges for Black Africans at that time. Although he did not finish his degree because of his political involvement, he continued his studies at the University of South Africa. His pursuit of learning, both formal and self-directed, strengthened his determination against injustice and helped him become a global symbol of freedom and equality.
